It’s June, the half way mark, month number six on the calendar…
Things are a wee bit crazy at the moment with with red flags on some other exciting things also happening this month.
J U N E month is usually the busiest month of the year for me.
It’s my birthday month as well as Adam’s birthday month and it’s also Father’s day, this year on the 17th, which is also my birthday how lekke!!!
Other than celebrations on my to-do list, this is also the month of the National Arts Festival.
I get to travel to the historical little town – Grahamstown and work on and also enjoy some of the best productions is South Africa.
The month kicked off with the annual #ECMeetUp this past weekend at The Fairview Racecourse and this week I am also off to Joburg for the Comedy Con 2018, hosted by Goliath and Goliath as part of the Goliath Comedy experience at the club on Melrose Arch.
My weekend will be filled with comedy talks and comedy sets and man all things comedy… I – C A N N O T – W A I T!
I almost didn’t go, because I couldn’t find a bird big enough to hop on or a bird willing to help a chomie out.
Because the man-made birds are expensive mos.
Fast forward to when I get back, we hustle and prepare for some comedy and also some phenomenal kiddies theatre.
Later this month, Loyiso Gola will be running his show #UNLEARNING at our monthly gig at Protea Hotel Marine – in PE 22 & 23 June. You can laugh along by booking your tickets at Computicket.
Peppa Pig will be making dreams come true and I know of somewhat a couple of hundred Moms and Dads who will score brownie points, for allowing their kids to experiences the adventure, and be part of this amazing stage production.
The show runs at the PE Opera House 23 – 24 June and tickets are flying via Computicket.
I then take on the road to Grahamstown for a few days to get together with my team for this year’s #NAF18.
We put together our action plan and make sure we have the boxes ticked off ahead of the 11 days of amazing.
This year I won’t be there for the full festival because I am travelling to Durban where Big 5 opens at the Playhouse theatre this year!
5 big comics on 1 big stage, playing their best comedy to the beats of DJ Ready D.
A few sleeps thereafter, Stuart and I roadtrip to Grahamstown to the fest.
As crazy as it seems, time flies and before we know it, we are prepping for Christmas… and by that I mean before you know it, it’s October because that’s mos when they start putting up Krismis in the shops ne?!
But on a serious note, it’s June… month number six and we have made the half way mark for the year.
I looked at my calendar the other day and realised that I have started planning some shows for 2019.
Yip, because such is life.
We have time now to do things, so let’s do it.
I am excited about the travelling for the month and I am sure I am going to share one or two pictures or even write a blog post about being on the road and working on the most amazing shows around this beautiful country we live in…
Don’t wait for the next June or the next December, make plans and put your plans to action.
Take a long drive or do anything OTT to follow the moon…
Make memories and eat peanut butter with a spoon…
Do anything to be happy.
Don’t regret any.
So what are you waiting for?!
The bird that will offer cheap or free flights?
Until next time…
Love & Laughter
