Pure Beginnings Review

The wonderful team from Pure Beginnings sent us some of their organic baby products to try out.

Can I start by saying that I absolutely love the smell of these products.
Bath time is such a pleasant trip to the forest, and so needed for the senses during this lockdown.
I mean, it wasn’t just an experience for baby Asher, but for Mom and Father as well.
The natural scents are so calming and instantly lifted my mood.

Pure Beginnings has been around for over 10 years.
They started out with babies and kids in mind, but now can boast with a range of organic personal care products for the entire family.
They use ingredients that are rapidly biodegradable, this means, in plain English it is environmentally friendly…

Their products are not tested on animals (Beauty Without Cruelty) and
they are Vegan and Phytotrade Africa accredited
(which means the ingredients are sustainably sourced).

We tried out these few products:

The chest rub:

The chest rub is 100% natural and contains eucalyptus & lavender that rubs on easily and has no sticky residue.  Thank goodness because we have enough stickiness to deal with.  Say hello to the powerful healing properties of eucalyptus, tea tree, lavender and frankincense.
The lavender again is so calming for baby and the eucalyptus definitely helps in assisting baby as it eases congestion.  It also contains powerful anti-bacterial and antibiotic properties.
This is definitely something to add to your medicine cabinet.
Bonus, the chest rub is safe to use on babies as young as 3 months old.

The Probiotic Baby Sensitive Cream Wash:

Both my boys have sensitive skin.
For this reason, I have not stocked up on baby toiletries for Asher, other than wet wipes, nappies and bum cream.  I am always skeptical about what I use for them, but when I read about the Probiotic Baby Sensitive Cream Wash, I was so keen to try it out because this product was not around when Adam was a baby.  The cream wash includes prebiotic and probiotic ingredients.
It has been so gentle on Asher’s skin.
The cream wash helps protect the skin, with it’s aloe vera leaf extract and marula seed oil, which helps to soothe and nourish baby’s skin.
Added bonus, it contains no fragrances or essential oils.

Soothing baby wash & shampoo with organic baobab:

This mild all in one wash and shampoo smells divine and has the added benefit of it’s main ingredient hero, organic baobab fruit extract.  We used it for both Adam and Asher’s hair, and it’s safe to say I will stock up on this one.  It also comes in a 500ml, which is very useful if you are using for more than one kiddo.  We battled with cradle cap and I honestly think we do not have enough products on the shelves to help with this, but this soothing shampoo has really helped.  I even skipped washing hair and was pleasantly surprised that Asher’s hair still smelt good.
I love the fact that this can be used for body and hair but also that it contains the good stuff like organic baobab which is high in vitamin C and anti-oxidants.  It also contains  organic rose geranium oil which helps to balance, boost and calm irritated skin.

While we tried these fabulous baby products, it is not the only products in the Pure Beginnings baby collection range.
You can view the full baby range and their Family range on the Pure Beginnings website and also purchase the products on their site direct.

In the family organic range there is a fresh mint toothpaste, shaving cream, Eco roll on, bodywash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.
Head over to Just Ella Bella as she reviews some of these goodies.

Thank you for being here.
