Hello Patensie! Hello Tolbos Bistro

Today officially marks the 1st day of a mini  holiday for me…

Weather was not looking too great so we decided to take a drive with the kids…

Mac & Shelaine and their kiddos picked us up and off we go on a roadtrippin’ adventure.

We chatted about taking a nice drive somewhere to a farm-stall or somewhere we could have lunch and the kids could play.  Both of us have zero lus for cooking, but it’s Sunday so a nice Sunday lunch will do my soul well.

We took the road to Hankey – Pantensie.

We ended up at one of the most beautiful farm stalls.

Tolbos Bistro.

A cosy farm stall with beautiful and simple decor and a layout designed to make you feel at home.

Today is going to be so special.

Food + friends = always a winner.

I started off with a red late – before I order lunch…

(brownie points scored because they serve Mastertons)

For some strange reason I felt like something meaty, so I ordered a lean mean piece of steak with perfectly fried chips and a fabulous creamy pepper sauce. Served with a colourful salad on the side.  While Kevin opted for lasagne…

I was very happy with my portion but the lasagne needed some more lasagne…

I made the right choice.

Great portion.

Great taste.

Glo my!  It was simply delicious.

Prices not too bad too.

All is well with my soul – die kos was so lekker!

The kids enjoyed the play area and some milkshakes with the all time favourite on the menu – viennas &  chips…

Empty plates and happy faces all round, plus time spent with my bestie is always great “food for soul!

We will definitely go back.

Kyk gerus na die snaps!

Back onto the road, we decided to drive toward the Kouga Dam.

Oh man, the beauty out here here is incredible.

Until next time…

Love & Laughs
