2018 to-do list

I have been asleep.  I am being very honest here and not even trying to be funny…

Instead of reaching for my phone the last few weeks, I have been hitting my pillow real hard… well at least trying to.

At times my head works overtime, so I end up planning, working(in my head), making notes, prepping and constantly doing things except switching off.

So I decided to try and switch off and try to think about how I would like to smile towards the end of this year and think back on the boxes I got to tick off.

Believe it or not , that is a simple thing that makes me feel like I am winning in life.

Making a list, checking it twice, and ticking off the things I have done.

Like a shopping list.

Like stock taking.

You heard me, stock taking.

Life stock taking!

What do you mean stock taking Rae?

Let’s  take it back to the green board.

Stock taking or inventory checking is the process of counting, weighing or otherwise calculating all items in stock and recording the results.
The main reasons for doing this are as follows:
• To ensure the accuracy of the stock records.
• To verify the value of stock shown in the balance sheet by physical confirmation and value your stock in terms of cost and potential sales.
• To detect wastage or pilfering at an early stage and put in place processes to reduce and or
eliminate.
• To reveal any weakness in the system for the supervision and control of stock. i.e. eliminate over- stocking and /or under-stocking.
The size and number of surpluses and deficiencies revealed by stocktaking will give you a good measure of the efficiency of the storekeeping, control and procedures in general.
Stock taking is a must for any shop.  For smooth running.  For success.

So I am putting together a list, because that’s what you do when you do stock taking.

Checking what adds value.

Making sure things are in place and that I cut off wastage.

In order to take complete  control, I need to check what adds value and what does not.

It could be as simple as letting go of all negativity and being happy.

But it’s  not.

I find that saying  things mean one thing and writing  things down and finding  practical ways to apply it is another.

While I am working on my practical ways to help apply changes for 2018, I have put together a basic to-do list for myself.

Starting with:  ( in no order or

1.  Sleep more – starting with going to bed earlier.

2.  Learn to relax – do more for myself.

3.  Try to work out. walking is okay too just start somewhere.

4.  Be more patient.

5. Forget being perfect – just BE.

6.  Let go of toxic beings & things.

7.  Continue  to make memories.

8.  Collect makeup hahaha.

9.  Save money for anything and everything.

10.  Drink more water.

11.  Be positive and think positive in every work situation.

12.  Work on forgiveness and try to see things in a different  light.

13.  Fight for your visions.

16.  Learn to say NO without feeling guilty.

17.  Develop a stronger attitude of gratitude.

18.  Laugh more, in fact laugh everyday!

19.   Grow spiritually.

I do hope towards the end of 2018 I can smile as I tick off those  boxes.

I hope I can find the strength to accept if I can’t tick off those boxes.
