The thing about hair…when on tour…

The thing about hair and being on the go and living a busy lifestyle is just that…The thing!

Yes because it is a THING!

You wanne look good at all times, because then you feel good.

And when you feel good, you feel confident.

Many of us have been just way too busy at one time or another or maybe you’ve just had a moment of …”Ag man! I just don’t have lus for my hair …”

When you are juggling work, hubby, a 3 year old, family & friends, a business with a few crazy comedians on a roll and you try to blog… consumed by these elements of life, things get hectic at times… to the point where our hair maybe just wants to divorce us because it’s time to let go…. Factor in some stress and sleep shortage and … “KAboom!”

So what do I do?

Sometimes I wash, scrunch and wear…and it looks like this:

OR

I blow-dry my hair… and then it looks like this:

Or every now and then when I have time, I pop in over at Stylish Steppers for a treat, then I sit back and allow Michelle to make the magic happen…

Any other time in between shows or productions, I “doek”or “beanie”… mostly when it’s cold…okay, maybe also at times when I don’t feel lus!

Thing is, you have to do what works for you…not the girl next-door …and not the crazy trend, nor your neighbour, nor your work-sister, nor your blogger buddy, nor the PR company you trying to impress because they sent you freebies and you want more freebies… Uh-uh no!

We must all hustle enough to make it work for yourself wherever you find yourself in life. And as you know I am all about getting the job done. Working behind the scenes has taught me to do what works for me when it comes to style and fashion and hair and makeup and all the other frilly things.

I can’t still worry about hair when I am building a legacy.

Besides, hair don’t grow on brains…

But here is my 5cents:

  • Do what works for you!
  • Look good for YOU, no one else!
  • Keep it simple!
  • Make sure you are comfortable!
  • Wear your crown with confidence!

And remember, there are many princesses, but not one of their crowns are the same…

Until next post…

Love & Laughter
